Collages
A random pile selection of 10 of 300+ raw & unfiltered collages that went into defining Contemporary Patternism, alongside field notes describing my “thoughts on the process” as I went along. Expect to see some of these published on Fabric by the Metre.

Still looking at including odd shapes as well as triangles into the mix. As a continuation on from my 100 day project I am looking into adapting and developing my approach to creating with random offcuts for my collages. Following on from reviewing my work I decided to select four complementary colours of my choosing but still limiting the range of colours for a more minimalistic vibe (as I did towards the end of the project). I then intuitively cut each coloured paper into odd shapes, created individually coloured piles and randomly placed them onto the paper. Bon day!

And just like that, I am back with new colours and new shapes! Although it is has not been my favourite week Arts wise, it has taught me a lot about the types of shapes I do favour and those I do not - which is always a good thing. More coming soon!
Here's another sneaky peaky to get you and I going. Happy Saturday peeps!

Following on from the 100 Day Project I have decided to make the most of the flow of what I term as being my 'automatic abstracts' and continue on with the theme of shapes - more specifically the triangle (for the time being). That being said here are the resulted of the previous video I uploaded. Enjoy and Bon day!!!

And now for something a little bit different... I think I have finally shed my '100 Days' project and taken from it what I would like to move forward with. That being said a common theme within my work is its emphasis on 'colour'. So with this statement I have finally illiminated the black that so defined by '100 Days' project and gone for the purely bright and neon colours that I so love - never knowing when good old black may pop by for a visit! Until then, this is the closest I have got to resembling what is going on in my little old brain so far! Enjoy and bon day! 😁😊🤟

And now for the first results in my square or should I say, parallelogram series 🥰
